Modality of submission

The piloting phase of the MICENE project supports the personal and professional development of students in partner countries through a MICE Management Curriclum which enhances an integrated set of managerial, digital and green skills, enabling them to become true change agents in the MICE sector.

Piloting

It is directed to at least 80 students from 4 EU countries (20 IT, 20 ES, 20 SI, 20 LT).

The pilot curriculum offers participants free access to:

  • OER – Open Educational Resources as microlearning pills and gamified scenarios
  • MICE Teaching Manual on transformational team coaching and work-based teaching

The Program covers the following topics:

  • Overview of MICE ecosystem
  • Market Definitions and Analysis
  • HR Management and Career Development
  • Event Interactions
  • Supply Chain Management and Logic
  • Sustainability Development and Ethic
  • Project Management and Inter-Collaborative Partnership
  • Feedback Management and Redesigning Processes

Engagement of participants

Applicants will be required to engage in an innovative blended programme structured in different phases:

01

Training through the OER method:

  • 8 microlearning pills
  • 2 gamified scenarios

02

Participation in the MICENE Coaching sessions articulated in a circular flow of inspiration, activation and reflection aim to provide attendees with the necessary competences to act as agents of change in the MICE sector thanks to:

  • Inspirational session: participants will be inspired towards greater sustainability through digital technologies with the presentation of case studies, success stories, testimonials.
  • Activation session: participants will learn by doing: they will work on concrete behaviours and tackle real or realistic organisational sustainability challenges. Taking the lead, they will conduct an as-is/to-be analysis to identify and develop digital and sustainable case studies within the corporate context.
  • Reflection session: participants will use the Journaling process, which is a reflective practice where they regularly record their thoughts, experiences, learning progress, and emotions related to their academic work in a structured or semi-structured format. It encourages students to consider what they have learned, the challenges faced, solutions found, and how their learning applies to real-life contexts.

The call is open to university students in Faculties of Economics and Management in Italy, Spain, Slovenia and Lithuania who:

  • have limited knowledge of environmental issues that are not adequately addressed in their study programmes;
  • while generally IT-literate, struggle to use advanced technologies that are now crucial to the organisation and management of MICE events.
Piloting

Registration is open from 01/08/2025 to 01/10/2025.
Applicants will be informed by e-mail about selection results in 7 days after the call is closed.

The selected applicants will be given access to the e-learning platform, containing the OERs and the additional tools. The application form must be completed online at the following link

The training will be completely free and carried out in blended mode.
