Hybrid Mobility
16–20 June 2024 • Nebrija University, Madrid
The hybrid mobility of the MICENE – MICE Next Evolution project was hosted from 16th to 20th June 2025 at Nebrija University in Madrid, bringing together 16 higher education lecturers, 8 on-site and 8 online, from partner universities and organisations across Europe. This five-day programme marked a key step in the development of the MICENE framework, offering participants the opportunity to experiment in vitro with the MICE Teaching Manual—one of the core intellectual outputs of the project—and to engage in Work-Based Learning (WBL) and Transformational Team Coaching sessions designed to strengthen the future delivery of the new HE curriculum in MICE Management
Objectives of the Mobility
The hybrid event aimed to:
- Test and refine the MICENE MICE Teaching Manual, a methodological guide integrating transformational team coaching and work-based teaching, developed to modernise teaching approaches in higher education programmes for the MICE sector.
- Equip participating lecturers with innovative pedagogical tools, blending managerial, digital and green skills to support the evolution of the MICE industry.
- Promote a shared transnational teaching framework, harmonising approaches among HEIs from Italy, Spain, Lithuania, Slovenia and Belgium.
- Strengthen cooperation between universities and MICE-sector stakeholders by consolidating common practices and instructional methods.
- Prepare lecturers for the upcoming piloting of the MICENE MICE Management Curriculum, which will involve 80 students across four European HEIs
